In the Philippines, cervical cancer is the second leading cancer killer for women. Every women is at risk of having this kind of cancer. This is caused by a common virus known as HPV or Human Papilloma Virus. We must keep in mind that HPV infection is easily transmitted. It may be by skin-to-skin genital contact, where penetrative intercourse is not necessary to become infected. Also, condom usage may not adequately protect individuals from exposure to HPV. But now, we have good news! New advances in science are on our side. A new vaccine that targets HPV 16 and 18, the two most cancer-causing types of HPV. Let&#8217;s ask our doctor about the new cervical cancer vaccine to help cross out cervical cancer.</p>
